Our Kids on a Mission:

Back Home

As we return from our mission trip to Appleton, Wisconsin two things come to mind:  First I am very, very, very tired.  Second, well I am too tired to remember the second thing right now.  Truthfully the second is that our God is truly an amazing and generous God.  These past days on our mission trip have shown again the grace of God pouring into our world.  His grace shown through the people we had the chance to serve. God’s grace shown in our times of prayer, and in the Sacraments we celebrated.

And God’s grace and love most definitely shown brightly in the our young people who gave of themselves to serve the people of God in Appleton.  Pope Benedict XVI said in his encyclical Dues Caritas; “God’s way of loving becomes the measure of human love.”  And we as a parish family can and should be proud because our kids did  measure up, loving as God loves, giving of themselves completely and totally to the people they served.

It was great to have the chance to be on the mission trip and serve with our young people and it is great to be back so I can get back to work and get some rest.

Peace and God Bless,

Fr. Todd
